Apples For Isaac is a monumental return from Echo & The Bunnymen, their first album of newly-written songs in over a decade. After years spent performing their immense catalogue of classics to audiences around the world, the Bunnymen have recorded an album that is as bold as it is vulnerable, that perfectly captures the essence of what makes the Bunnymen so great.

Their previous release on BMG, 2018’s The Stars, The Oceans & The Moon, saw them revisit material from their formative years – from the first few moments of opener ‘Take Me By The Hand’ it’s apparent that the band have lost none of the urgency of their early work.

Brussels Is Haunted

Fittingly for a song about the ghosts of the past, lead single ‘Brussels Is Haunted’ is emblematic of the band’s proud legacy, with a life-affirming chorus worthy of one of post-punk’s forefathers.

All but one of the tracks on Apples for Isaac also feature the late drummer Clem Burke, who sadly passed away during its creation and received the following dedication from the band:
